About our B&B
Our loyalist home was built in 1790, and is situated on the oldest road in Canada, graded in 1604.
This house is steeped in history.
It was the first licensed inn in Nova Scotia.
Also, the barn was the last stop on the Pony Express.
The house still has the original floors, 7 fireplaces, and original woodwork and main staircase.
One window has a signature engraved in it with the date Nov. 4, 1851.
Our "Grand Oak" is the oldest red oak tree in Nova Scotia.
Our rooms are deluxe suites that have been recently updated with beautiful large ensuite bathrooms.
They are named after the original inn keepers, Harris and Lawrence Hall.
