Located along the Wild Atlantic Way and overlooking the Trawbreaga Bay and the Isle of Doagh, Madra Rua is the perfect place to set up your base camp to explore the delights of the Inishowen peninsula and its wild scenic coastline, part of the North West Region of Ireland, the most northerly area in the country.
Madra Rua is another way of saying Sionnach (fox in Irish language) what recalls the original name of our townland of Ráth Sionnaigh (Rashenny) which means The Fox Fort.
Our surroundings offer assorted places: cliffs, forests, beaches, lakes and mountains, all surrounded by the Atlantic ocean and the sand dunes, and also gorse and heather.

You'll be able to observe the changes of the landscape with the seasons and the stars and northern lights in the sky.
