About our B&B

We (Clare and Colin) love running our Bed and Breakfast.
There are very few jobs, where you can work in your own home, meet wonderful people from all over the world and the commute to work is a stroll down the stairs!
Our emphasis is on providing a warm welcome, a very clean home, beautiful surroundings, fresh wholesome food and a really good no frills service.
We very much enjoy our garden and growing all year round flowers, fruit and vegetables plays a large part in our day to day life.
We know how fortunate we are to live in such beautiful area and we are happy to share our little bit of paradise with our guests.
Our guest rooms are all on the ground floor and equipped with flat screen TV, tea / coffee, making facilities, hair dryer and toiletries.
An iron is always available.
Our linen and towels are dried in the outdoors, giving them the freshness of a country garden.
Breakfast is served in our bright south facing dining room.
There is a covered patio to the side of the house, with an outdoor kitchen from May to September, where you can heat or cook a simple meal in the summer evenings.
There is a microwave available in the dining room for those colder winter months.

This family-run B&B offers rooms that include continental breakfast, free WiFi and free parking.
A cooked breakfast, made using homegrown produce, is available from EUR 3 and is served in the light and airy dining room, with a bird table providing entertainment while guests dine.
The individually designed rooms at the B&B feature flat-screen TVs, a work desk and tea/coffee-making facilities.
They include private bathrooms with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries.
There is an outdoor terrace area to relax on and a small garden kitchen available from May to September.
Here guests can cook a simple evening meal.
A shop and traditional Irish pub, serving evening meals, is just 3 minutes walk away.
Guests can take a walk along the River Slaney with beautiful views of the Deeps Castle built in the 14th century or a 15-minute drive will take guests to some of the Southeast’s beautiful beaches.
Please note a car is essential, as public transport is not available in the area.Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.1 for a two-person trip.

Local information :

At the bottom of the driveway is “The Shop Killurin”, a well stoked mini supermarket serving Pizza from their deli most evenings.
Just around the corner is Marty B's lively country pub.
Here you can play darts, pool, watch the premier league football games, or just chat to the locals.
You can also avail of a meal from the chipper type menu available from 5 pm each evening (except Tuesday and Wednesday).
A ten minute walk (by the "bottom road") will bring you to The Sycamore House, an oldie world traditional Irish pub run by husband and wife team Declan and Mary and affectionately known to the locals as Declans'.
Another ten minute walk will bring you to the beautiful river Slaney River, where in the summer evening you can watch the Killurin rowing club from the pier or the bridge, as they train for many of the local regattas held each weekend.
If you turn left out of Killurin Lodge driveway and drive 5 km on the R730 towards Wexford, just before you intersect with the N11, you will come to the Irish National Heritage Park.
This is a particular favourite of ours, not only for its remarkable heritage trail, but also for its great carvery restaurant, serving food until 5 pm.
