Pantybeiliau House is situated in the hills above the village of Gilwern, which lies between the towns of Crickhowell and Abergavenny both of which are c3 miles away The area has a deserved reputation for the quality of its restaurants/gastropubs – stemming in part from the renowned annual Abergavenny Food Festival.
The Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal runs through Gilwern, and there is also plenty of exploring to do in the Brecon Beacons National Park and The Black Mountains, either on foot or cycling.
Within c6 miles there is the World Heritage site - The Big Pit National Coal Museum
