Local information :
Versegères is a quiet old traditional village on the road leading up the valley from Le Chable to the dam at Mauvoisin.
The main industry was originally based on agriculture, especially cows and sheep.
It has diversified to include various crafts, especially in wood (sawmill, carpentry, etc.).
More recently, it has seen great development in housing, becoming a dormitory for residents working mainly in Verbier or Le Chable.
The area offers pleasant walks along the river and in the neighbouring woods.
It’s a popular area for bikers and hikers alike.
With Le Chable only about a mile down the road and the lifts to Verbier and the Bruson domain, numerous activities are available, including the skatepark in Le Chable and the sports center in Verbier.
