Chteau de Montsgur, Foix Castle, Lordat, Miglos, Roquefixade, Usson and Montaillou are all worth a visit to help better understand this religious movement that began in the 11th century. Located just 20 minutes away is EcoGolf Arige-Pyrnes, designed by Michel Gayon It provides a surprisingly diverse 18 hole course combining both comfort and technique. With a full functioning clubhouse and restaurant, it makes for a great day out. Feeling under the weather? Arige boasts numerous thermo-mineral springs including Aulus-les-Bains, Ussat-les-Bains Ax-les-Thermes. The mineral content of each thermal spa water is different and all 3 are within an hour's drive from us. Arige has the most prehistoric caves of any department in France. Le Mas d'Azil, Lombrives, Niaux & the subterranean river of Labouiche (the longest navigable underground river in Europe) are all reachable in under 45 minutes. |
