Alessi and Bufalo

We have 2 properties:

1. Bufalo - via del Bufalo, 10 Perugia 06121 The apartment is located on the ground floor of an old palace in an amazing narrow street of the old city.
It consists of a large living room, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen.
The house is very elegant and old furnished, the ceilings are vaulted and there are some frescoes in one bedroom, pictures and originally painted doors.
There is an equipped kitchen with electric cookers and oven, microwave oven, fridge and freezer, a washing machine and internet access available.
The guests bedrooms are very large and comfortable, one of the room has an internal private bath and a wardrobe.

2. Alessi - Via Cartolari, 17 Perugia 06122 The apartment is located on the 1st floor of an old beautiful palace in the heart of historic centre.
It consists of a double bedroom, 2 single bedrooms, one bathroom and equipped kitchen.
There is also a washing machine and internet wireless access.

It is available the breakfast service or the half or full board service. Homestay accommodation: upon request I offer this service to clients staying in the apartment Alessi or by me: I live upstairs and have an available double bedroom available. I have a daughter of 22 and a son of 19 who are sometimes by me for meals, but not always. Many Shops, restaurants, bars and pubs are close to the house. There are 2 small supermarket at walking distance, a grocery market, post offices, pharmacies, banks are everywhere. Tourist information are in the main Piazza Matteotti. The city hall seat is in the Palazzo dei Priori in Piazza IV Novembre, just in front of the medieval Fontana Maggiore and the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo.

What to see & do :

Worth to visit: Palazzo dei Priori (where are the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria, the Sala dei Notari and Collegio del Cambio) the underground city Rocca Paolina,the Etruscan Arch, the Etruscan Well, the Acquedotto Romano. the Museo Archeologico ( where are many rest of the Etruscan Nechropolis located in the surroundings) , the Church of San Pietro, the Church of San Domenico.

Upon request it is possible to arrange guided tours and excursions in the region or to Firenze, Siena and Rome.

PERUGIA the town

Perugia is located in the centre of Italy in the region of Umbria ( the region is called “cuore verde d’Italia” that is “ the green heart of Italy) because of its green hills and mountains.
Built on the 2 hills of Landone and Colle del Sole, it is the main town of the Umbria region, and has about 180.000 inhabitants. Its urban architecture maintained a lot of rests of the Etruscan and Roman period.
Here are many university faculties, and also the ancient Università per Stranieri in the historic part of the town.
Perugia is also very close, 15 km, to the famous medieval town of Assisi, the birthplace of San Francesco: this town calls all year round many tourists and religious pilgrimages.
Other interesting nearest towns are Gubbio, 40 km, Spoleto, 35 km, Orvieto 65 km.
Rome is about 150 km far and is reachable by train or bus in about 2 hours.
Firenze is 120 km far and is also reachable by bus or train. Also Siena is a very amazing small medieval town and is reachable in about 1 hour by car or bus.

How to get to the apartments ( both are located in the historic centre, so the information are the same):

By train: Perugia Fontivegge railway station, from here take a bus line to Piazza Italia or the mini metro line to Pincetto.

By bus: Bus terminal in Piazza Partigiani ( here arrive buses from Rome – www.sulga.it - , Milan, Firenze, Siena and from most of the Italian towns) from here take the escalators to Piazza Italia.

By air: Perugia S. Egidio Airport - www.airport.umbria.it - , from here take a taxi or the shuttle bus connecting to Perugia historic centre – see timetable in the airport website..

By car : exit Perugia San Faustino of the E45 >Dual carriage way, from here follow the direction of Centro Storico.
