Musketeers Lodge was incorporated in April 1998 – built by three well known Bulawayo entrepreneurs, specifically as a retreat for international hunters in transit from the hunting areas - hence the name.
The Lodge is situated 9 kilometres from Bulawayo City Centre on the Matopos Road, at 42 Annabel Drive, Eloana. Easy access and a well signposted route takes you out to the city limits and into the bush within minutes as the lodge borders on Tshabalala Nature Reserve, with the fence running along the lodge grounds. Set in a beautiful, tranquil environment, boasting rolling green lawns and mature indigenous and exotic trees, it is a bird lover’s paradise and a welcome get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for the tired executive. The Musketeers is an ideal stopover on the way to Matopos or for an overnight stay whilst waiting for a connecting flight or before proceeding to the safari world of Hwange, Victoria Falls and the Great Zimbabwe. The lodge is a B&B Guest House offering bed only as well as dinner, bed and breakfast rates which are very competitive. Parking is secure and all rooms have television with the choice of a room with either shower or bath. All meals are prepared by an executive chef who is very proud of the delicious food he produces. DSTV and Internet access are also available. Musketeers offers other facilities and also provides for private functions, dinners and business breakfasts and parties. The lush gardens provide a romantic venue and are available for hire for special occasions. The gardens are well maintained and stay green throughout the year. The mature indigenous trees and abundant birdlife make for a tranquil get away and for a unique enjoyment of nature. For the business executive that needs some peace and quiet, the traveller needing a restful stopover, the couple looking for a romantic get-away or the family needing to build and share memories, you will be sure to find the perfect spot in the garden. Come and experience it for yourself.
